Privacy Policy
Home Tech Security Inc, dba HTS Systems (“HTS,” “we,” “us” or “our”), has been protecting Los Angeles homes and businesses since 1992. We treat your personal information with the same discretion we bring to every property we work in. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through htssystems.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers the Site only. Security, camera, network and automation systems we install for clients are governed by the service agreement for each project. Footage and data from those systems are not collected through this Site.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in our contact or quote form, call us or email us, we collect:
- Your first and last name
- Email address and phone number
- The service you are interested in and how you describe yourself (for example homeowner, builder or architect)
- Anything you choose to include in your message, such as details about your property or project
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect limited technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including:
- IP address and approximate location (city or region)
- Browser type, device type and operating system
- Pages visited, time spent on the Site and the page that referred you

Information from other sources. If you contact us through a third-party platform such as Google, Yelp or Houzz, we may receive the information you share there.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry, prepare a quote or schedule a consultation or assessment
- To provide, support and service the systems you hire us to install
- To operate, secure and improve the Site
- To understand how visitors use the Site, so we can make it more useful
- To send you information you have asked for. We do not send marketing emails without your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
- To comply with the law, enforce our agreements and protect the rights and safety of HTS, our clients and others
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only as described below:
- Service providers who help us run the Site and our business, such as website hosting, email delivery, form processing and analytics. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of HTS, our clients or others.
- Business transfers, if HTS is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Your information would remain subject to this policy.
- With your consent, or at your direction.
4. How long we keep information
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, for the length of our working relationship and any period required for warranty, service, tax or legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
5. How we protect information
Security is what we do. We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the Site and restricted access to inquiry data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the protection of your information seriously.
6. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may have the following rights under California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, to the extent it applies to HTS:
- Right to know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it and who we shared it with.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information through the Site.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 11. We will verify your identity before acting on your request, and you may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will respond within the time required by law.
Shine the Light. California residents may ask once per year whether we have disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to it, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser that sends it.
8. Third-party links and services
The Site links to other websites, including our technology partners and review platforms such as Google, Yelp and Houzz. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. Please review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
9. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide notice on the Site.
