HTS began as a family-run alarm and security company, built on a simple premise: homes and businesses deserved protection they could trust completely. From the start, the work was hands-on and relationship-driven, with every installation treated as a long-term commitment rather than a one-time sale.
That foundation shaped everything that followed. Decades before "smart home" was a category, HTS was already thinking about security as an ongoing responsibility, not a single product. The discipline built in those early years — showing up, standing behind the work, and knowing every client by name — remains the standard the company holds itself to today.
By the late 1990s, HTS had outgrown residential alarm work alone. The company began securing office buildings and commercial properties, applying the same discipline it had built protecting family homes to larger, higher-stakes environments.
This period also marked the start of HTS's move into high-end residential estates — a shift that would come to define the company. The lessons learned securing commercial spaces, where reliability isn't optional, carried directly into the standard HTS would later bring to luxury homes.
HTS earned THX certification, formalizing its expertise in high-performance audio and home theater design at a time when few residential integrators met that standard. This period also brought HTS inside celebrity estates, including a featured appearance on The Osbournes.
Working inside high-profile homes required more than technical skill — it demanded discretion. That combination of certified craftsmanship and quiet reliability became a hallmark of HTS's growing reputation among Los Angeles' most private clients.
HTS built out 25 partnerships supporting cinema-quality home theater installations for Hollywood's elite, cementing its reputation as a go-to integrator for entertainment-industry clients who expected studio-grade results at home.
The work drew attention beyond Los Angeles, with HTS featured in Smart Home industry publications. This recognition reflected a company no longer just installing equipment, but shaping what a true home theater experience could be.
HTS earned Crestron Elite certification, one of the highest tiers of recognition in the smart home industry, awarded only to integrators demonstrating consistent technical excellence and client satisfaction over time.
The certification reflected years of disciplined installation work across increasingly complex estates. It also opened access to Crestron's top-tier product ecosystem, allowing HTS to deliver more sophisticated, fully integrated systems to its clients.
By 2010, HTS held more than 60 licenses and partnerships across the industry's leading technology brands, reflecting a company built on breadth as much as depth — able to design with nearly any platform a client required.
This wide-reaching certification base meant HTS could remain platform-agnostic, recommending and integrating the right technology for each home rather than being limited to a single manufacturer's ecosystem.
In 2011, HTS expanded beyond smart home installation to become a full IT and network security provider — a pivotal shift that placed cybersecurity at the core of the company's identity years ahead of the industry.
This early move meant HTS was already thinking about networks as critical infrastructure long before "smart home security" became an industry standard. Cyber protection has been part of HTS's DNA ever since.
HTS was featured in a high-profile collaboration alongside Travis Barker and Wisdom Audio, showcasing the kind of premium, artist-caliber audio installations the company had become known for among entertainment clients.
The feature reinforced HTS's standing at the intersection of luxury and performance — proof that its systems could meet the standards of musicians and audiophiles as rigorously as they met the standards of everyday homeowners.
HTS earned Control4 Diamond certification, the platform's highest level of recognition, awarded to a select group of integrators worldwide for technical mastery and long-term client success.
Reaching Diamond status reflected over a decade of accumulated expertise, positioning HTS among the top tier of Control4 integrators globally and reinforcing its ability to deliver deeply integrated, reliable smart home systems at scale.
HTS entered a new era of partnerships focused on energy efficiency and lifestyle living, reflecting a broader shift in what estate owners now expect — homes that perform intelligently, not just conveniently.
This chapter marked HTS's evolution from pure installation toward long-term home performance, integrating energy management directly into the same systems that already handled entertainment, automation, and security.
In 2026, HTS formed its partnership with Scorelate, bringing enterprise and government-grade AI security into residential and commercial properties for the first time. This marked the company's full transition to a technology-first identity.
Today, HTS designs and defends homes as one connected system — proprietary technology built in from the first design meeting through ongoing protection. A family name, now with a technology company inside it.
Pioneering Ai
& Smart Homes
Moshe Bar founded HTS Systems in 1992 with a hands-on approach and a simple conviction: security and technology should never be an afterthought in the modern home. He built the company one relationship at a time — on a promise the family still keeps: be the one trusted partner for everything behind the walls.
Today that promise is carried by the second generation of the Bar family. What HTS builds has evolved — from alarms to estates to networks and AI defense — but the name on the door still means the same thing: a family that protects your home, and your building, like its own.
Two generations. One promise.

Sean Bar
CEO
Sean Bar leads HTS Systems, carrying forward the company his father, Moshe Bar, founded more than three decades ago. A USC graduate with a background in finance and data analytics, Sean spent over a decade building artificial intelligence for security and national security applications before taking the helm — developing facial recognition systems, investigative platforms for law enforcement, and predictive models that detect fraud and identify threats. He has led teams of developers and project managers inside banks, financial institutions, and government agencies, and has led graduate seminars on applying AI and on the systems he built there. He is now applying those same technologies to the low voltage and electrical space, treating a connected home as a network to be secured rather than a set of devices to be installed, and holds the company to standards he set himself.
Dany Barok
VP of Field Operations
Dany Barok serves as Vice President of Field Operations at HTS Systems, which he joined in 1998.
Drawing on decades of low voltage experience, Dany built his career from the ground up, mastering
alarm systems, smart home automation, high-end audio/video, and private theaters.
Known for his hands-on leadership, Dany personally oversees morning job sites to manage quality
control, scheduling, and on-site problem-solving. He maintains close, direct contact with clients from
initial installation through ongoing service, ensuring flawless execution on every large-scale
integration project.

Advisory Board
Moti Asaf
Advisor, Innovation & Technology Strategy
Moti Asaf advises HTS on innovation and technology strategy, having founded and exited five
technology companies over three decades, each built around turning large volumes of data into a
decision. His work spans both hardware and software: at Analytica he developed facial
recognition and identification systems used by law enforcement and national security agencies;
at View Links-Euclipse he built AI for fraud detection and borrower analysis, later acquired by
Verint Systems; AASL analyzed patterns across telecommunications and financial data, and
AnaTxt automated intelligence reporting from open sources. He has also built GIS and mass
interception platforms, underwriting and pricing engines, and machine learning systems for
social network analysis. His software runs inside institutions including AXA, Visa, Zurich
Insurance, IBM, and the U.S. and European stock exchanges, and he has built and trained
operations for police and national security agencies across roughly 60 countries. He has managed
thousands of employees in public companies and sits on the innovation boards of organizations
in banking, insurance, defense, and intelligence. Co-Founder and Chairman of Scorelate, he
helps HTS see where the technology in this industry is going and what the company should be
building toward.
